From young campers discovering the magic of pollinators to university students designing tomorrow’s sustainable gardens, we believe in planting the seeds of knowledge early and often.
- Toronto Botanical Garden (formerly the Civic Garden Centre): This lush urban oasis began with our members’ vision and dedication. In the late 1950’s, with no official garden centre in the city, the Club successfully lobbied Metro Parks to create Toronto’s first Civic Garden Centre at Leslie and Lawrence. By 2004, with a new name and a new home, the Toronto Botanical Garden officially opened—planting the roots of what would become a thriving hub for horticulture, education and community. It now flourishes as a centre for learning and inspiration—a living classroom where every leaf teaches something new.
- Scholarships & Camps: We fund five post-secondary scholarships each year at four leading schools in Southern Ontario. These include Humber College (Etobicoke), Fanshawe College (London, Ontario), University of Guelph (Guelph, Ontario), and the University of Toronto - John H. Daniels Faculty of Architecture, Landscape, and Design. We also open the garden gates for children from underserved communities, giving them the chance to explore nature hands-on at TBG Summer Nature Camps.
When we teach someone to grow, we teach them to care—for the earth, for others, and for their own well-being. To learn more click here.
