REQUIREMENTS

NEWCOMERS

Over the first year, Newcomers:
  • complete both floral design and horticultural courses
  • attend one meeting for each of 5 committees
  • participate in special outings
  • enter a floral design and horticultural competition

During this year the new member will learn about the aims and goals of The Club as well as our community involvement and projects.

The time commitment is approximately 20 days, from September through May, with coursework and committee meetings during daytime hours. The period from September to November is the most intensive for course work. There is an option to complete the newcomers requirements over a two year period.

MEMBERS

A member is a newcomer who has successfully completed the newcomer requirements. Members are expected to serve on at least one committee over a five year period. This can involve up to four hours a month to attend meetings. Members actively participate in the daily management of The Club and it competitions, programs and public projects.

Each spring, we hold an Open House in April for potential new members to learn more about Our Club, activities, charitable projects and membership requirements.
